and here's all I have to say about that

This is something I just saw someone write in a comment online, and it's so good I'm snagging it! Regarding the character of Lori Weston on H50:

"I never wanted her gone, I wanted her to be awesome. And she could’ve been if she’d been written better."

Never have I seen a character so misused and wasted by the writers. Sure, part of me didn't like adding a fifth to the Fab Four. But I'm a big girl, I would have been more than happy to accept anything that would make our show better.

H50 writers, I am really beginning to worry about you. You've got lightening in a bottle with this show, and you just don't seem to know what to do with it.

That's a really good point. And it wasn't just for Lori they blew the writing on. The Plot and Continuity fairies need to whap the writers over their heads.

I'll miss Laura German, but not the botch they made of her character.

I was doing the dance of joy when I realized she was finally leaving the show. I swear I've been praying for that since the second episode she was in. Nothing really against Lauren, but the character of Lori was completely useless and that's what I had the problem with. She was just...there, throwing off the dynamic of the 5-0 team. Like you said, they've got lightening in a bottle. Maybe with just the core 4 again they'll realize how to capitalize on it.

I liked the idea of adding another woman to the team, and I like Lauren German well enough, but yeah, Lori wasn't well written. Such a waste.

I for one am glad she's gone. The writers made her so boring, there wasn't any chemistry, she was just wasted screen time.
