Happy Meme, Day One

pollitt, and I decided to participate because we all do need more happy in our lives, right? Also I think this will be a good exercise for me, since my natural setting seems to be "crankypants".
1. Post about something that made you happy today, even if it's just a small thing.
2. Do this every day for eight days.
3. Tag eight of your friends to do the same.

Vermont, Iowa, Massachusetts, Connecticut, civil unions in New Hampshire and New Jersey (I think)...it's all heartwarming and very hopeful.
