Lost Weekend

This weekend I got lost reading The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel. Have you read it? It's a book that's very hard (i.e.) impossible to describe. All I can say is that her writing leaves me feeling kind of woozy and dreamy. But I could not put it down.

She's the author of Station Eleven which I also loved. This one is not about a pandemic, but it has the same feeling. I am not describing this well at all! Sorry!

Hmm. Sounds good. I'm on the hold list for it at the local library but I don't know when it will come through.

It is definitely an odd book. I should have also mentioned a trigger warning for talk of suicide. Station Eleven had more of a definite plot than this one does, but I do love the way she writes.
