no pay for me today

I'm getting ready to enjoy my first bright and shiny furlough day! We'll see how excited about it I am when I get the first reduced paycheck, but for right now I'm thrilled for the time off and happy that it's saving jobs. So what will I do with my day? *ponders*

Oh yeah, that would have been great! But it was a good day. FINALLY got my cable box DVR exchanged for a brand new one that holds more hours. I think we killed the old one with too much love!

I love that you got furlough time - we just got the pay cut AND they still laid people off. Stupid financial industry. Enjoy your free time AND saving jobs!

Oh yeah, I'm lucky for sure. Lots of people did get laid off. Hundreds at the university and about thirty in the library. But before they do more they're trying the furlough thing and I'm thrilled! Not sure what effect the stimulus money might have, but if we still have to make cuts again after July I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more furloughs instead of layoffs.
